Curriculum Development

The curriculum at Elite Early Learning Program is written to be the most effective way to assess the current development of its students and give a comprehensive breakdown of where each child's strengths and areas of need are. Specific curriculums are written for literacy, writing, math, science, and early reading. Children are also assessed in their large motor skills to ensure that any areas of need can be identified early and can be worked on.

What That Looks Like In Class
My curriculum addresses skills and concepts in a wide range of academic and developmental areas. Each week is set up with a focus on a letter and theme associated with that letter. Children will have the opportunity to explore the theme while also engaging in ways to grow in their skills in all the other developmental areas. Careful planning is used to choose which lessons and materials to provide, depending on the specific children and their individual needs.

In my years of curriculum development, I have incorporated sensory and social emotional components that not all curriculums take into consideration.

As a small school, children can be provided with tools in the classroom setting that help them learn to manage additional needs.

My approach with children who are struggling behaviorally is to learn more about possible causes and using my knowledge of the child I can come up with a plan to deescalate challenging situations. If you wonder about your child's behavior, I am happy to talk more with you about your concerns.
