The Heart Behind the Program

My passion for early childhood education is what drove me to open my own preschool. I want all children to have the attention they need while learning early developmental skills. After some wonderful years as a stay at home mom, I started my own preschool in 2019 so I could continue to support young learners. Children's needs were considered in each aspect of the environment. As I planned my program, I kept in mind the quality of the materials, the color scheme of the space, adjustable lighting, and a variety of play options to make kids excited about school. I worked to build a program based on embracing the differences in each child, and supporting them on their early learning journey!
Curriculum and Environment Planning
My curriculum addresses skills and concepts in a wide range of academic and developmental areas. Each week is set up with a focus on a letter and theme associated with that letter. Children will have the opportunity to explore the theme while also engaging in ways to grow in their skills in all the other developmental areas. Careful planning is used to choose which lessons and materials to provide, depending on the specific children and their individual needs.
In my years of curriculum development, I have incorporated sensory and social emotional components that not all curriculums take into consideration.
